Lazy Days by the Lake

Köyceğiz is a pretty and serene southerly facing lakeside town with a population of around 4,000.  It is only 45 minutes drive from Dalaman airport but a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.  At the centre of the old town there is a small marina, a beach for freshwater swimming and many waterside cafés and restaurants for sitting and sipping sundowners.  the ambiance is relaxed and unspoilt without a hint of mass market tourism and just outside the town it is possible to walk for mile through the pine forests and into the pristine mountains.  A traditionally Turkish town there is a small British and European community here already.  Only 40 minutes from Marmaris and 20 minutes from Dalyan, Köyceğiz is the perfect place to escape to when you want relaxation, gentle entertainment and beautiful weather and scenery that Turkey is famous for.
